IMO, they are all pish singles. Surely a good single should have an element of poppiness?

Hey Ya! by Outkast gets my vote, and Gold Digger by Kanye West.

I'd say that Float On is a pop song

Can't believe you'd think the first two... you are actually rubbish.

If you'd said Can't Get You Out of My Head or Superstar then I would have had to concur, but your two choices just don't do it for me.

Clive is right, Float On is ultrapoppy as is Apply Some Pressure. And Crystal, Oxygen, Irish Blood, English Heart, the Shy Retirer and even One Armed Scissor alll have poppy elements. Hey Ya i definitely agree with, but Gold Digger is tuneless ramble. You're entitled to your opinion of course, and if you think they are pish that is fine, but your reasoning that they are not poppy is bollocks.

I Believe In You was a great single, it was the first single I'd bought for a good few years.

Sugababes, Girls Aloud and Goldfrapp and Outkast have all had some crackers. The Masses Against the Classes by the Manics just scrapes it in by a couple of weeks.

I think of the past couple of years my favourite single has been Portions for Foxes by Rilo Kiley, it should have been huge.
