Default Ace second albums. discuss

I've just listened to two second albums., and they're ace.

Reuben - Very Fast Very Dangerous is the follow up to their awesome first album

InMe - White Butterfly - Is brillaint and follows up the rather bland (but likeable) debut album

What other second albums of 2005 are great? Discuss.

Mew - Mew and the Glass Handed Kites (although it's really their fourth album, just their second international release)
British Sea Power - Open Season
Saul Williams - Saul Williams
Rilo Kiley - More Adventurous (is tha right?)
The Mars Volta - Frances the Mute
Antony and the Johnsons - I Am a Bird Now
Malcolm Middleton - Into the Woods
Sons and Daughters - The Repulsion Box

Pretty good year for second albums.

The new Franz Ferdinand album is excellent, perhaps even better than their first. I believe this year's Saul Williams album was his second album proper, so that qualifies too, I guess.

Best second album of all time would have to be The Band's eponymous effort.

Although probably not until 2006 - the second Grim Northern Social album will be a stormer judging by their live material from it...and they're on tonight

Royksopp - The Understanding. And as last night proved, they're an immense live act.
