Well that really depends on how he intends on producing/advertising it (The Nomad AM compilation that was released a little while back didn't cost peanuts, I can assure you of that), and since we don't know any details, it'd be better not to speculate but instead try and help this person out with what is, although a tried and tested idea, a good one nonetheless.

Wasn't the Nomad AM one done really well? Unless I'm mixing it up with something else....

I think an Aberdeen CD produced along the same lines of the Smalltown America releases would be fantastic, personally.

with the pennys in my pocket. as cloud said its just a wee think to do in my spare time. thought it would be good, see no downside to it. plus im getting a slot for a weekly FM radio show starting in Febuary at ShmuFM (local radio station, will only cover about 5/6 miles). im gonna make the show about local bands, get them heard buy other people rather than the lowlifes on this website (hehe). should be fun.
please stop critising me for what im doing.

and i dont care if its a "tried and tested idea" im doing it so I can hear new band. then just thought why not make it a comp cd and sell it for £1???

sounds fair.

Hi - maybe you should re-read what I typed and posted before quoting parts as if they were part of a negative passage.
