Default Bloc Party - Two More Years
Holy bag of balls the new single is disappointing. I thought it was a cover and it took me ages to figure out it wasn't, meanwhile I'd been watching the most boring video on earth.

What a weak weak weak first single.

Anyone else heard it yet?

I've played it in Exodus at least three times while you've been there. Maybe that's why you thought it was a cover...

I think it's OK, it's obviously not as good as Banquet or Little Thoughts, but it's still one of their better singles.

No I didn't think I'd only heard it, I really thought it was a cover of some old 80's song. When I heard it in exodus I thought it was ok, but the video just makes it seem so much more boring! It's so boring that they've got sleeping girls in the video!

Yeah, it's put me off completely. A great video makes me LOVE a song that little bit more. Music channels are on at mine all day, if it was on the radio, I'd stay tuned, if it comes on MTV2, i'll switch over straight away.

I think it is a good tune, only heard it a couple of times though. It's not as good as Always New Depths(which they never seem to play live ). Anyone going to see them at the Carling?

Me and Leif are the sensible ones here. It's brilliant and i couldn't give a toss about the video. And as far as i know it's just a one off single or EP rather than the first single from their new album, which is a long way off.

the b-side for 'two more years' is great though. it's The Streets mix of Banquet. the video for that mix is great as well.
