Default Soul Deep

How ace was tonight's soul deep (bbc 2 history of soul)? James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and George Clinton. Funking ace.

Pity the rest of tonight's tv is shit.

The BBC don't have a DVD release planned as yet, but I would imagine it would be very popular so they probably will at some point. Meanwhile there's a lot of good stuff here -

Be prepared to see the magnificent band a lot more than you'll see the man himself though... these days he tends to have a 20 minute instrumental build up, then on for five minutes, let the band get on with it for ten, then back for another five etc. Still well worth seeing though.

I've enjoyed each episode I've seen so far... George Clinton is one crazy cat.
