I,m looking to buy a good sampler type machine that would be suitable for both recording and live work.
I want to be able to sample beats, grooves, tabla's etc from albums edit/create my own rhythms and sounds from them, then be able to store and use these loops and hits when I wish. Any recommendations, nothing too exspensive though? Last edited by Cat Food; 04-02-2005 at 18:49. |

get a sample pad, like one of roland's spd-.... ranges
they are aimed at live use, but you can easily use them for recording too... alternatively you could hook up a midi input device to a traditional sequencer. there's loads of options, and loads of people exploring this technology locally, just ask around |
