Not quite. Someone could turn it into a thread about the metal tastes of Mike Joyce, which is not a joke.

And lo, the indie kids did smite the metallers, and there was much wailing and rending of spandex.

The Smiths were the greatest metal band of all time. With song titles like 'The Queen is Dead', 'Meat is Murder', 'Death at One's Elbow', 'Girlfriend in a Coma', 'Pretty Girls Make Graves'.

I think The Smiths were more emo-core metal (is that the right one?), with titles like 'Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now', 'Last Night I Dreamt that Somebody Loved Me', 'I Know it's Over', 'Unlovable', 'That Joke isn't Funny Anymore'.

Indeed they might be described that way. That's why there was recently an emo tribute album to the smiths and morrissey.

Mozza would be charmed, I'm sure.. The only thing about The Smiths though is they didn't look very hard..

What do you mean they didn't look hard. Joyce looks like a terrifying rapist.
