Heroes of rock, Mclusky, have disbanded.
In a statement posted on their website, singer Andy Falkous said:

“The three piece rock band known as mclusky have disbanded, as of friday january 7th, 2005.

The reason for this parting is private, though probably not as entertaining as you'd imagine.

Personally, I would like to thank all the people, places and times that occured on or near us.

I`m grateful for the love and to to a lesser degree, the hate. There'll be more music soon, from all of us. “

And that, sadly, is pretty much it. .

Wasn't too keen on the last album but the first two were ace. Great live band as well.

Thats totally bollocks. I am genuinly gutted about that. They were an absolutly fantastic live band, and i'm just glad I got to see them lots before they called it a day. I thought they were one of the few bands doing something that sounded totally unique. And they were hilarious as well.

Whats the difference between a landrover and a hedgehog? I hedgehog has pricks on the outside! *boom boom*

Thats really sad news.

Dammit dammit dammit dammmit.ttttt.t. I loved the last album, it grew on me until it was probably one of my favourite two albums of the year, but I hadn't seen them recently, couldn't wait to hear some of those songs live. This totally sucks, bollocks. Bollocks bollocks. Bollocks.
