hi im new to aberdeen. What are the best places to see bands?.. Also could you tell me if there are many female fronted aberdeen bands if any? Something similar to Pj harvey, Mazzy star or babes in toyland? Thankyou

there's a lot of solo female singers: Amy Sawyers, Kathryn Sawyers, Finona Keenan, Emma Forman, until recently Jo McCafferty. Next year we'll be debuting Emma's new band Baby Karma too :-)

the videos have a girl front person, more shouty Poly Styrene/Le Tigre than PJ harv tho

lucy out of the cuts sounds a bit PJ meets Patti Smith if thats wot your after

Suvara have a lady singer, but we are the world's least organised band. We might play a gig next year though, we'll see how it goes...
