Default Grime - a new electronica sub genre

Is Grime any good? It sounds interesting but is it worth a purchase or is it a Rephlex wind up?

Dave

Gime 2 is also out now.
I never did get round to buying it, but it certainly sounded good...

Dizzee Rascal kept getting labelled as Grime when he first came out I believe.

I thought it was a sorta mix of UK Garage and rapping about council estates?

Musically it's a less commercial Garage sound.

Biggest grime artist is probably Dizee Rascal.

yea grime is just nasty garage. john peel used to play lots of grime. i really like it cause he'd go in his nice voice "and now on radio 1, it's grime time" and play this really nasty hardcore noise garage track.
