4 tickets have just been ordered.....

This'll be the third time I've seen them - one with Ministry at the Barrowlands in '93 (I think) and at Reading Festival in '94.

Helmet fuckin rock.

I only got into them a couple of years ago, but I really like them. they have gargantuan riffs, don't they! To me they are like an uglier, more brutal Husker Du (not to diss the Huskers - they are pure genius) And Page Hamilton was a brilliant lyrics man. Criminally underrated band, I think. It always pisses me off that bands as genuinely ace as helmet get nil recognicion in the "mainstream." Who cares, we know better, eh?

Will have to get tix sorted out - It's on a Friday - rejoice.

I think I've said this before (Steve Crisis, correct me!)...

Muz was most impressed with Helmets drummer at the time, all his cymbal were Rides, and he was using them as Crashes and splashes...HOLY SHIT !

I would give my right leg for Helmet at one point in time...probably still would...

Helmet are fucking awesome. However, I think this show is on the same day as Dillinger Escape Plan in Edinburgh, which I've already bought tickets for

Having been a long-time disliker of D.E.P. I listened to Miss Machine last week and its actually rather fabulous. DEP and PTW probably beat Helmet in "need to see"-ness, but depends who supports Helmet...

I'd dissagree.
Who knows how long helmet will stay together for again, might only be one lp...

DEP will be around for a few more years...(hedging my bets ?)
