Well yes, they are very clever. Duh

Their "more insulting version of Franz Ferinand" music is hardly a new "trend", they've been on the go for about 10 years something...

They have been around for a while, and do kinda sound like a generic amerikan indie thing... im not too keen on them at all.

i don't think they're that new to be honest. my ex liked them and introduced me to their music about two years ago. pretty much everyone has heard trailer trash. personally, i like them. i dunno.. each to their own and all that..

Modest Mouse are very good indeed, the moon and antartica is pretty much a perfect album, and the newest one, good news.... is also amazingly good.

They're not new at all, no.

Modest Mouse get from me. Picked up some excellent demos on Napster apparently recorded when they were still in school. Verified it on one of the fan sites too. Orwell could have sounded like them if Stuart could have separated himself into Singy Stuart and Shouty Stuart and harmonised...

i'm one of those people who are newly getting into modest mouse, but i think they're pretty awesome, some of their songs are really thoughtful, and the singers voice is lovely
