i dont understand exactly what the brawl was about?

basically the brawl was about the fact that soty prob broke a few "rules" about fans hacving to stay in the general "area of their allocated seat" which tends to be the way it works in the US...and in fact here really at arena shows.

the fact that soty wanted to kick it up...oh and the fact that they are younger, better looking, better musicians, more relevant etc etc prob pissed godsmack off as well.....

More relevant? I guess that depends on who you are. Is emo more relevant than MOR grunge? Both are pretty irrelevant to me.

But yeah, no one deserves a beat down, but we don't know the full story - Yanks are pretty jittery at the moment and if the emo band were working the crowd, Godsmack might've felt their safety was compromised (no wants another Woodstock 2000). Still, settling the matter with fists helps no one. I hope the emo band managed to land one on Sully Erna's smug faux-wiccan mush.
