I like Evanescene and Nickelback... but I talk about how ace they are all the time to annoy my friend.

Infact, I don't actually know if I like them, I talk about how great their songs are so much I might have just lead myself to thinking I like them.

Well it has to be Dr Hook - I heard one of his albums constantly as a kid and still sing along to most of their "classics".

I too was subjected to frequent and prolonged exposure to Dr Hook and his Medicine Show at an early age, but it appears to have had the opposite effect on me ... given that most numbers make me want to puncture my eardrums with an uncurled paperclip.

Personally, I'm rather partial to a bit of early Lonnie Donegan, but I'm not even remotely ashamed of that, so I'm not sure if it counts.

Dr Hook was a firm favourite in the Lucifer household also. When I listen to them now, I realise all the their songs are about drugs - coming off drugs, buying drugs, drug paranoia, drugs, drugs drugs.

I also grew up listening to Glen Campbell, Jeff Wayne's 'War of the Worlds' soundtrack, Dolly Parton, Queen and The Moody Blues. Justin Hayward was a big hit in my childhood home.
