just found out yesterday that appendix out's alasdair roberts is playing the lemon tree on the 17th of april as part of rootin aboot. as well as releasing solo albums and stuff with appendix out he's also been part of amalgamated sons of rest with will oldham(bonnie prince billy, palace) and jason molina(songs:ohia) and has collaborated with them on their own albums and singles. dark and sparse folk, should be interesting.

i'd actually have a heart attack if molina played in aberdeen. incidentally go to www.clunkett.com for the opportunity to get a limited edition previously unreleased 7" of magnolia electric company stuff. it's blue marble vinyl. very pretty. got mine through the post yesterday but it's one of those 7" that doesn't have a middle bit and i don't have a spare
