just wondering what the latest on this is? i noticed in Music News Scotland that it asked for two demos to be submitted, but having read your post we only sent one - does this mean we're disqualified

when will the bands be announced? It's only a couple of weeks away now. On the off-chance we get picked, we'll have to cancel a gig to come play....

All the bands who are getting a slot at a showcase should have beeen contacted by the end of this week. As always we are all struggling with full-time jobs and are organising goNORTH in our "spare time". It looks like there will be one main day of showcases on Thursday 10th June but we also hope to run some on Wednesday 9th. Music Week will again be giving out the CD a week before the event, like pretty soonish! Don't know much more at the moment but will post anything I hear up here and the website will be on-line with all the line-up's pretty soon, like any day now. It's now at www.goevents.info

any idea when we'll here about what day we're playing? also, and i have to apologise for all the questions, but do we get notified if our tracks would be on the cd? and how would they decide which track to put on the cd?

As you know we are still trying to sort out a couple of venue problems, once that's sorted we will be able to put the line-up's together and let you all know.

We complie a list of tracks for the CD from the demos we listened to whilst deciding on bands for showcases. That then goes to Music Week who are currently choosing which tracks they agree to. Then the bands will be contacted for release forms etc. It would be unfair to let people know before Music Week make their decision so we'll wait until they let us, and everyone else know.
