no way. I was hoping for a John Hughes teen comedy revival soon. He was one of the best things about the 80s.

Bizarre. I was watching Dogma tonight on one of the film channels, and I switched over to the news at the end and the first story I heard was about John Hughes. Part of the plot setup in Dogma involves Jay and Silent Bob finding themselves in Wisconsin due to Bob's devotion to Hughes' movies and Jay's desire to exploit a gap in the market by selling weed there, as, judging by Hughes' movies, no-one else was doing it. Ironic, as another Dogma star would say?

Yeah he wrote and directed Uncle Buck. The scene where he takes a piss in the school bogs still has me in hysterics every time! Terrific movie, in fact i've just decided to change my avatar to Uncle Buck!

My favourite Hughes movie though was Planes, Trains and Automobiles. I could probably quote the whole thing line for line.

Jesus, i read a article about him in Empirie and how he just dropped of the side of the world, in hollywoods eye's anyway.
