Just watched the first 2 episodes on the iPlayer.

Its amazing. So dark and disturbing.

My favourite bit so far is the murder mystery bit where Dave has written on the wall in shit.

It tends to be that in American comedies, they have a bigger writing team behind the scenes and so have more ideas bouncing around to last for more episodes, whereas here, it's usually either one person alone or maybe four/five at the most.

Gatiss was stunning as always. I was loving the complete bowing down to Hitchcock (if you've seen 'Rope' you'll be able to draw up the references, from the wooden chest, the detective and it all being set in one room). Genius. Definitely my highlight of the series so far.

Ep4 was grand indeed, and a real departure from the previous episodes. The whole scene with the one room had a suitably theatrical feel to it and it just got funnier and more disturbingly surreal as the panic and inevitablity of the situation was drawn to its logical conclusion.
