Just went to see this, overall not bad, John Conner was a bit of a bellend and Marcus Write was a total legend, your thoughts?

i dont think im gona go see it, after seeing the third one i cant imagine it being much better.

im what u might call an arnie purist. one and two are fucking class, and the third should hav never been made in my opinion

ill keep and eye on this thread tho, just incase folk manage to change my mind

I'll be honest if you didn't like three then you may not find this much better, although i did find it more entertaining it was't Terminator if you know what i mean, was a good film but it was by far no where near as amazing as 1 and 2. Classic sci-fi.

It's been announced that a fifth film will be made with james cameron directing.

I honestly dont think they can save this franchise

I really enjoyed it. Miles better than 3 which was a total crock of shit, and really not massively worse than the first 2. Couple of really cheesy moments, but it wouldn't be a Terminator movie without them. Though, for me, the constant referencing back to the first and (mainly) second film was a bit boring after a while. Granted a couple of them were class, but most of them just screamed "Yeah, this is a terminator movie by the way, just incase you didn't realise!!".

But all in all, a good film. Certainly not a disgrace to the franchise.

I would say that was a pretty good summary.

overall though i can't stress what a douche John Connor was compared to the awesomeness of Marcus Wright, he was a total hero.

Yeah, Connor was a bit of a dick. Though it did work for the film. One thing for me though which was ace, was when Wright was walking through the ruins of LA, it felt like I was watching a Fallout movie, which was pretty damn cool.

iirc there is an over 18's only showing on at vue at some point (possibly next monday?), I noticed this when I was checking times for last night on their website. Have a look there.

Saw this on Tuesday and have been fighting with myself over whether it as good or not. It answered somethings and made a few pointers to the previous first two films which I was happy to see. However it made alot more to be answered for. I hate the modernisastion for everything and this was one franchise they fucked up on but with Salvation it seems to have been saved on a standalone basis. The first 2 3rds of the film was great and although the action and answers started appearing towards the end I felt a tad let down.

The molten steel part for me was excruitiatingly cheesy and a rip off from T2, however the scarring of johns face I thought was cool and again pointed back to the future version of John in the same film.
