Default Sky+ HD
Has anyone got a Sky+ HD box and if so, how do you like it?

Also wondering what the basic channels are, the most comprehensive list I can find is this one and it only looks like you get about 18 (mostly gay) ones.

For an extra tenner a month I'd be expecting more than fashion TV, although the disc space is a lot bigger so you could record far more SD shows...

Just looking for general opinions more than anything.

I would say it's only really worth it for the sports and film channels, although now the SciFi channel is on it there could be better shows coming up.
Annoyingly ITV HD is only available on Freesat, due to ITV being pissed with Sky over something

Sky HD is pretty awesome for the sports and movies, and there are more and more HD channels apearing all the time so i'd say go for it

I have sky hd, it cost me £49, I think sky are now offering it for free.

Anyway the hd service is great, but what is shown on it, well that's mostly shit - that said its nearly worth it just for the footy and other sports.

Agreed. It's worth it for the sport.

Also, I didn't have a Sky+ box before and I totally love it now.

Stuff like Lost looks brilliant on HD as well.
