Default Crank: High Voltage

I'd go gay for Jason but I was like 0_o through most of the film!

Just back from seeing it.

Ridiculous isn't the word. Pretty entertaining til the last 20 minutes which is just over the line nonsense. Statham still has some great lines, but there's a bit too much violence, swearing and sex for the sake of violence, swearing and sex.

There's one quick gag with the answering machine that had me in stitches for sure.

For some reason this is showing in our biggest screen at the cinema. Ten people watched the afternoon showing today.

I watched the last five minutes today. I don't know what I was seeing.

I assumed that that was the entire point of Crank?

So I keep getting told. Nothing short of Shaun Ryder being murdered at an orgy should be that bad though.

I thought it was hilarious.

The violence was OTT but fitted well.

Also copious use of the word 'cunt' which is always a bonus.

Especially enjoyed the part he was being dragged behind the speedboat.

Anyone expecting anything less than an OTT no brainer should stop being so silly..

Sometimes you know a film is going to be shit just by the spamtastic marketing campaign.

Im just not a fan of Jason Stratham (sp?) - He seems to just make the same movie over and over and over again.

He does do a lot of "car-chase" based films. I think he's decent enough at what he does.

I like the fact that he's striking a blow for the bald man, but I don't think I've seen any of his films, except Lock, Stock etc.
