Watched Blue in the Face last night. It's all centred around a cigar store in Brooklyn and stars Harvey Kietel. It's sort of a companion for another film called Smoke which is along the same idea. Have to say Smoke was brilliant but quite serious at times. Still a beautiful story though. As far as Blue in the Face goes. It's a much more fun film using a lot of the same actors. Supposedly they finished the filming of Smoke ahead of time and under budget so decide to make Blue in the Face with the time and money left over. Both films are great especially Blue in the Face which has some great cameos from the likes of Lou Reed, Roseanne, Madonna and Michael J Fox.

I watched this the other night, the blue one. Really liked it. Had a Jim Jarmusch vibe. He pops up for a cameo too. Got it on a double sided dvd with Smoke but I can only get the one side to play. Films about Brooklyn tend to be pretty awesome for some reason.

Saw it the other night as well. Have to admit I was expecting a Toy Story-esque light hearted movie so the first 20 mins caught me a bit off guard and left me a bit teary eyed!

Great little movie, definetly recommended.

The Damned United A based-on-truth story about Brian Clough's 44-day reign at Leeds United in 1974. Brilliantly acted, if factually incorrect. Michael Sheen is shaping up to be one of the best actors around. The archive footage is brilliant though, with some of the worst challenges and examples of "afters" you'll ever see!

Up - Saw this at the Grosvener in Glasgow the other week. Like the other poster said, a really moving first 20 minutes. Being honest though, the story kinda fizzled out for me after that, but there were some really funny moments. Needless to say, my daughter enjoyed it.

Coraline - Bought this on DVD for my daughter and I to watch last week when it was pissing down. Was pleasantly surprised to find that it came with 3D version and 4 sets of specs! The movie was superb, the best kids fillum I've seen since Monsters Inc.

last thing i saw was saw 6

got a lot of bad press but i thought it was ace, roll on number 7!

as a general rule i'd never ever ever EVER say "roll on number 7" about any film but the saw series has really made the storyline work

i could rabbit on for hours about how much of a fanboy i am, but by the time you read "...saw 6" you either agreed or stopped reading anyway

xx

Was in Orlando a couple of weeks ago and they are currently running Halloween Horror Nights at Universal, including a scarey Saw house. Was pretty awesome like.

It's like a retarded version of Memento or something. I found it quite amusing but I didn't really start laughing until the photos at the end. That was truly hilarious

Memento played chronologically is pretty funny, as this mentalist lurches from scenario to scenario, and it all fits together.
