Went eventually last night, and was very impressed. Didn't think it was asgood as Fargo but i don't think they will ever make one as good as that movie. Thought the 3 leads were exceptional and even our own Kelly Macdonald was impressive. Great ending too!!

personally I understood the point of ending but was also, like others, fairly perplexed by its suddeness...

I did like the ambigous nature of the scenes immediately preceding it

Fan-fucking-tastic. Delighted the Belmont decided to reshow it as I missed it first time round. Best film the Coen brothers have done by a long shot. The cast were excellent and Javier Bardem was utterly terrifying. I was caught off-guard by the sudden ending but after mulling it over it was a case of the Coen's knowing exactly where to end it.

Five stars and definitely worthy of the Oscar sweep.

Apparently it was more to do with the book ending there.

I haven't read the book, but this was what I heard.

I watched this last night on 'dvd' and loved it.

It's the best film I've watched in ages although I thought it really tailed off in the last quarter of an hour. Consistent, I suppose, with the earlier comments about the last couple of chapters in the book.
