I bought series one and two on Friday night on the way home from work, off the back of this thread, also now completely hooked. They're £20 each in Virgin/Zavvi/whatever.

They're about £14 on the HMV website. With free postage. Might just have to invest in season two before christmas. I don't think I can wait!

halfway through season four - this is probably my favourite season.


generally good all round, plenty of strange things, not too much of the conspiracy stuff - just enough to make it good

may move on to 5 once this is done, i'm getting too hooked again.....

It'll be interesting to see if you lot like seasons 8 and 9. Most people detest them, I actually think there are some good episodes in them. Medusa has to be my fav ep from that 'era'.

I didn't really watch the ones with Dogget and co when they were on but I'm prepared to go into them with an open mind and judge them on individual merit, rather than compare them against earlier episodes.

Mind you I though it went a bit to fuck after about series 3 or 4 when they start 'serialising' it instead of just having great stand-alone episodes.

Yeah, seasons 8 & 9 failed to capture my attention because the star of the show had left. I'll look forward to them though. I can't remember any of them.

Does anyone know exactly why David Duchovny pulled out of the X Files anyway? Did he just feel it had had it's time?

My season 2 came in the post this morning. I wonder what I'll be doing tonight!
