Right folks, I saw a film about ten - maybe even more - years ago and there's a few things that have stuck in my mind, I've just been unable to figure out what it's called.

It's about a French girl who moves from Paris to New York (or vice-versa) in order to find her dad or something, and throughout the film she looks totally French (Skirts / Beret...) I think she also cries a fair bit. There's a minature Statue of Liberty, or Eiffel Tower, which she takes over with her and near the end the base breaks open and clues about her lost love appear.

I was a titch when I saw this but remember it being ace then. Someone put me and my workmates out of their misery.

I searched Empire Online by plot and came up with nothing.

As Alkaline asked, are there any well knowns who acted in it?

the only film i could remotely think it might be is Leon, dunno why and i'm probably way off the mark!

If I knew who was in it, I'd have went straight to IMDB but at the tender age of 11 I wasn't too hot on actors' names. Unfortunately it's not Leon, although that is one FUCKING ACE film.

Was it in French with English subtitles/in English/dubbed in English?

I'm assuming that because I was so young it'd have been about a French girl in NY speaking American.
