Default The Ordeal (Calvaire)

Just curious to see if any of you guys have seen a film called The Ordeal. Its a belgium film. i really enjoyed it although as far as wierd fucked up movies go this has to be up there with the best of them.

Ive never quite felt the same way watching any other film as i did this. I really felt sorry for the main character. (which aint like me)!!

Got round to watching it this morning, and it was alright. Started off really well and promising then took the 'shock' and 'controversial' angles from the middle of the film, and the rest was just... bizarre! It's a shame because I do really like the main guy (Laurent Lucas) and it seemed like a weird film for him to do.

The short film in the extras - 'A Wonderful Love' - was much better, more interesting and had an edgy black comedy feel to it.
