the moorings could do with a door person (or, more likely, persons) commencing in the new year...

required 8-11ish on saturdays

free entry to the gig, £20 cash, and cost-price drinks all night

For this we'd even be prepared to make age an exception. The person can be aged 14+, and if under 18 they would get free soft drinks all night.

I just edited the title of this thread, as it could be misconstrued. The term door-person is generally taken to mean bouncer.

Not sure 'ticket hatch' is the correct term but it's all I could think of.

I like the term 'ticketeer', sort of give's it a pirate-ish slant....

I'd be willing to do it, but what if there was the odd Saturday I couldn't e.g trip out of Aberdeen, playing a gig etc?

Edit: How are you supposed to get a drink if you are watching the door?

It would be accpetable to miss the odd day, provided Brian got some warning.

To get a drink you just wait for the glass collector to come round. Table service is part of the deal.
