turnstile = a good idea. or maybe flash could invest in an electronic swipe card system.

Hah LMAO - I dislike both Led Zeppelin and distortion pedals equally. Thought everyone in Aberdeen knew that. There was a huge flame war on here because there was no Led Zep in the jukebox LOL.

Here's a quick Flash selection for you so you see where my taste lies. I've stuck to mainstream artists. This is just of the top of my head BTW. Now you'll see why I never get to DJ - my taste is just too shit LOL

Patti Smith - When Doves Cry. She's written better tunes herself, but the both the production on this track, and her delivery/interpretation of it are simply awesome.

Yes - Owner of a Lonely Heart. I mostly dislike Yes, and Jon Anderson in particular, but this track is pure class and sounds stunning.

Gram Parsons - $1000 Wedding.

Stevie Wonder - Living for the City.

Cat Stevens - Hard Headed Woman. Surely: "I know a lot of fancy dancers, People who can glide you on a floor, They move so smooth but have no answers." Are among the greatest lyrics ever written?

Cheap Trick - Dream Police.

Martha and the Muffins - Echo Beach.

New Order - Blue Monday

AC/DC - Rock 'n Roll singer.

X-Ray Spex - Identity.

The Carpenters - Superstar. Karen's voice gives me goosebumps.

Hazel O' Conner - Will You? If you haven't heard this song, then being a sax player you really, really must get hold of a copy. The production isn't that great but the sax solo is pure bliss and lasts for several minutes. If you listen on a really good HiFi, then the last thing you hear at the very end of the track is Hazel giving out a little gasp.

Carly Simon - Nobody Does it Better.

Eddie Cochran - Something Else.

Bobby Womack - Across 110th Street.

Frank Zappa - Andy.

The Shirelles - Baby it's You.

George Thoroughgood and the Destroyers - I Drink Alone.

Ramones - Somebody Put Something In My Drink.

Debbie Harry - Free to Fall.

The Beatles - While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

EmmyLou Harris - Leaving Louisiana in the broad daylight.

Neil Young - Like A Hurricane.

Buddy Holly - Everyday.

Bruce Springsteen - Candy's Room.

The Beach Boys - Good Vibrations. I especially like the extended sessions on Smiley Smile.

The Ronettes - Be My Baby.

The Police - Can't Stand Losing

The Cars - Just What I Needed

The Knack - My Sharona

The Band - Stage Fright

Fleetwood Mac - Man of the World

Duran Duran - Planet Earth

The Tubes - Talk to Ya Later

ELO - Sweet Talking Woman

Ooops time for tea, better shoot off!

Real distortion IMHO is harmonic distortion. I don't mind pedals with valve pre-amps too much. But there's nothing like a properly cranked valve power stage. Not so keen on using the master volume feature on amps to control their output, reckon a Marshall Powerbrake does a better job.

I believe that your figures were mixed up with the actual amount of punters that paid - the majority coming in had some excuse - like - I'm in the band, I am Lauras pal, it is my birthday, it is my pals birthday, I'm a regular and I just popped out for a kebab, I'm nae paying - with a dangerous glare, etc etc , I think a turnstile needs to be installed .
There was definately around 70 that paid, but yes possibly far more that didn't pay including my sister, her pals, and her pals pals. Was impressed that a lot of people stuck around for the whole thing though.

Hah, oops, I couldn't have picked a more wrong band if I tried!

I love old style fuzz pedals, so Its best I dont ever play guitar in your fine establishment.
