Default WANTED: Bands for Fridays. DEAL: you play for free = we record + mix some tracks

OK here's the deal:

We can put on one live band on the first, second, fourth, and (when it occurs) fifth Friday of each month. If you're a goth/electronica/new romantic band then we can put you on the third Friday too.

The performance can last a max of 1 hour between 9pm and 10pm. Setup must be done before 8pm, and packup must be done after 1am (but before 6pm on Saturday). This performance will take place during one of our regular Friday alt.rock club nights.

Admission is free - there is no door charge.

We'll record your entire set, and then produce a commercial release quality mix of at least 1 track, perhaps more depending on complexity. From this Saturday there will be a demo disk of Moorings recordings in our jukebox.

Here's the catch...

You must be a headline act with reasonably broad spectrum appeal. Our Friday evenings are already very popular and we are disinclined to risk screwing them up! For touring bands commuting to Aberdeen we may be prepared to cover some/all of your expenses.

Apply to either MTA (not me) by PM. Be warned that we may decide that your music is unsuitable for our Friday nights, please do not be offended if this is the case!

If anyone would like more details, or would like to hear a sample Moorings live recording then please contact either MTA or myself by PM.

September is already booked, but we are prepared to take bookings for October onwards. We will also consider bands playing a residency arrangement in order to record and mix an EP. Again this will depend on suitability.

Have placed demo Cd of Moorings recordings in the jukebox. Think it is disk 82. 12 tracks and plenty more where those came from!
