That's just personal taste/preference really. I think he does quite a good job and sings how I imagine a pirate might sing.

I believe the singer is actually from Birmingham or is that another member of the band? I cannot remember

Either way, he doesn't sound anything like he is from Perth when singing.

There is a George Thorogood and the Destroyers album in the jukebox, but don't think it's the live one. I really like their stuff though, do you remember they played at Live Aid. My 2 favorite songs are Bad to the Bone, and I Drink Alone. We also have an album in there called Perfectly Good Guitar by John Hiatt and you'll probably like the title track of that album although the rest of it is so-so.
