The man from Moorings he say "YES"!

We used to have Sam Cooke in there. I have some Marvin Gaye (greatest hits comp) and Steve Wonder (Innvervisions) waiting on standby. Any other recommendations on the soul front?

Right, I have an Element 106 EP, sitting here. Thurisaz, you would like Filthpact to played? Well, ok, its a strange mix with E106 being your ex band but if we popped both our stuff onto a cd, it could be played!

Whatyasay you crust loving punk lad

I'm guessing it should be possible to fit at least 3 complete EPs from different bands on a CD. That way we can accomodate at least 6 local bands EPs on the jukebox. On top of that we'll have 1 slot dedicated to a local band that obstensibly 'made it' such as Pallas or Toxik Ephex, a compilation CD from the likes of Exile or AUBL, and the Moorings Live CD.

Default Suggestion?

Would it be too much to ask to put Yngwie J. Malmsteen's "Magnum Opus" in the jukebox? Man that guy can wail... Check the Air Guitar Album 3, CD 2, track 16 - Vengeance - to see what I mean. Seriously missing out without him.

Oh hell yes.

"Maggot Brain" by Funkadelic should be there. Curtis Mayfield and Otis Redding best ofs should be inserted ASAP, and the Brunswick label compilation is flawless. And whatever made you take out Sam? If he and Otis had lived, James Brown would be Junior Minister for soul. Staple Singers, Little Milton and Sugar Pie De Santo are also more than worthy.

Get a few Motown vaults compos in as well and I'll probably be in every day throwing pound coins in every fifteen minutes.

Northern soul boy over here

And a good 50's comp would be useful...Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent, Little Richard...that kind of thing.
