Room 4? Seriously? I don't think I've ever had a good practice in there...

I'm surprised to see such varying opinions to Captain Tom's and Musical Vision...

Agreed - room 4 is shit.

Room 2 and 5 are Musical Visions best rooms.

Not been to Toms in ages, was getting pretty old...

Never been to Transition Extremes rehearsal rooms, but if the are anywhere near as unorganised as their shambolic battle of the bands (held in a giant tin indoor skate-park for the worst possible acoustics) then I'm probably not missing much.

The foyer isn't that great I was there last night and really wished I was at Toms

What didn't you like about it? The price? The fact that nobody else in your band turned up? The gear? The size? I'm all ears as to how we can improve it.

im may not be the member above but there was two things which bugged me a little

firstly i brought my guitar head along thinking there was a cab to plug it into and i only found out there were 2 marshall combo amps >> maybe make this a bit clearer on your website.

secondly was that some of the quipment seemed to be thrown in one side of the room on stands they were falling over consistantly, maybe a multistand would make the place look a little less clutered.

sorry if it seems like im having a go im a fussy bugger i know tht.

however the recordings ive heard from there are top notch

Oops, sorry, wrong band. My apologies, your band did come in, it was a band the night before I was thinking about.

I read the post by freddiesoffspring with interest. I will make it clearer on our site that there's 2 combos not speaker cabs. A lot of our gear is indeed on one side of the room but only the guitars are on stands. I don't think that the amps will fall over but might look into a multi-stand for the guitars if that's what you are talking about. Glad you like the recordings. If only more people used the place we could get some money to spend on better gear!

Thanks for the comments

Easy: check out the Website. Directions, well a map anyway, are on the "Contact us" page. Prices are at the bottom of the "Equipment" page but it's £6 per hour 2-6pm Monday-Friday, £10 per hour at all other times. Open 2pm-10pm Monday-Thursday and 12-8pm Saturday-Sunday. Bookings are on on the website. It's supposed to be for people under 25 but as we are hardly used at all these days we are open to everybody just now.

I've looked at your website before but been put off booking practice there because of the under 25 rule (being 28). Foyer is ace. Really good sound in the practice room. I may well start using you.
