Default UCAN Charity Pants Walk

Estrella are pleased to announce we will be playing at the UCAN Charity Pants Walk on Sunday September 23 at Aberdeen's Duthie Park.We are hoping you will be able to take part in the walk as well as coming to watch our set.

Whether you complete two or 20 laps you will be helping raise money for UCAN, a charity working to raise awareness of urological cancers.
Registration for the walk begins at midday and the event starts at 1pm and runs until 5pm.

In other news, Estrella have begun the second leg of a tour round schools in the north of Scotland to help promote the work of UCAN. We will be playing lunchtime sets, free of charge, to all schools who sign up.

We performed our first gig at Hazlehead Academy on Monday, September 10 with Thurso and Wick signing up for a gig in October.

We hope to see you all very soon!

Cheers

Default The Ucan Pants Walk – 23 Sept 07’

Hundreds of walkers took part and wore their pants with pride to raise awareness of urological cancers on Sunday. The UCAN Pants walk at Duthie Park was organised by the local urological cancer charity to help raise cash.

The walk started at 1 o’clock and it was brilliant to see everyone who came along to take part and support the cause. There were also craft stalls and refreshments, with prizes being awarded for the best decorative pants.

Eskimo Blonde took to the stage at around half two to start the live entertainment playing a set of original material that everyone enjoyed.

We then played a 40min set which received a very positive response. The set included EP tracks “She’s Got It” and “Ride Away” as well as cover songs by “The Rolling Stones”, “Guns n Roses” and “Lynyrd Skynyrd”. The crowd really got involved throughout our performance by clapping, singing and dancing along which is always excellent to see.
