Default King Creosote with The Pictish Trail @ Woodend Barn on 06/11/2009

King Creosote with The Pictish Trail Woodend Barn, Banchory on Friday 6 November 8pm King Creosote King Creosote is still living on the marie celeste that is Crail in north east Fife, and has returned to the good ship Domino for the release of his umpteenth long player Flick the Vs, a beautiful collection of haunting and upbeat songs. The Word - Treat yourself! "Marvellous…his finest moment yet" The Observer - **** "Classic winsome loveliness" The Sunday Mail - **** www.myspace.com/kingcreosote The Pictish Trail The Pictish Trail is Johnny Lynch, who has recorded his own material for the Fence label whilst contributing dozens of songs to numerous Fence Collective compilations. His album, Secret Soundz Vol. 1, blends folk-tinged acoustic songwriting with a quirky pop sensibility . "Johnny Lynch the one man force behind the Pictish Trail, has spent much of the last few years helping friends and fellow fence members, like King Creosote and James Yorkston get their careers off the ground. Finally recording an album in his basement he reveals himself as a powerful songwriter in his own right. **** 4 STARS" MOJO www.myspace.com/pictishtrail Tickets are available by calling Woodend Barn on 01330 825431 or visit our website www.woodendbarn.co.uk

If I hadn't gotten tickets for Idlewild I'd have been there. Woodend Barn is a lovely venue and it would be great to see KC again.

Are you being all mysterious or is there something you'd like to share? Maybe it can wait until 7 November...
