[GIG] Jazz Aberdeen Presents: The Konrad Wiszniewski Quartet @ The Blue Lamp
One of the UK’s most exciting young saxophonists, Konrad Wiszniewski plays in a style that honours the past masters of jazz while presenting a new sound full of clear thinking passion. A crucial member of the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra’s fabulous saxophone section, Wiszniewski has also featured with the European Youth Jazz Orchestra, Paul Towndrow’s sextet and singer Jacqui Dankworth and as his recent debut album confirmed, he is a genuinely talented composer. His quintet celebrates hard bop and beyond with sharply honed skill and vigour.
