the east neuk really is the venue for people who demand a better class of establishment, it oozes a sense of luxury and style that most venues can only dream of (if venues do dream that is).

i think state of affairs will be really good in the neuk tho, should be a good night, especially because my exams will be done and i'm going to get very-to-excessively drunk nothing says celebration like a very big owl (i know that's a bat, but it does have wings)

It's also brown, just like an owl.
Totally agree with you though. I remember seeing the best from State Of Affairs when they played Drakes, as they really suit intimate venues.

I checked out State Of Affairs on myspace - what the fuck is that? Is this the same band we (quik) played with a few years ago in Dr Drakes?

Ye man, the bill i think was:

9/1/04: Quik, Tearjerk, State of Affairs, Broken Sunshine @ DR DRAKES

They have changed sound-wise a bit since then I think but not much, I think they're ace!

unfortunately crashdown have had to pull out from the gig, but it should still be really good and loads of fun, plus we're giving out FREE flyers for our next two gigs.

maybe rapunzel wizard will do a poem or two for us as he said he'd probably be there.
