Default What if your 10th gig was supporting Franz Ferdinad at the SECC....

thats what happened the The Beat Trap and you can catch them live at...

Cafe Drummonds
Saturday 14th May
on stage at 10:45

The Beat Trap formed Feb. 2004 in Glasgow after three Shetlanders and a Brora boy got together in their adopted city. By May 2004 the band felt that the time perform to an audience. May 22nd - The Beat Trap played their first gig in Kieran's girlfriend's flat to around forty friends and theatre-goers.

Since then they have entertained the FF aftershow party-goers at the Glasgows School of Art, and supported FF, and The Kaiser Chiefs, at the Glasgow SECC on the 19th of December 2004. A great high-profile gig....

and The Beat Goes On...

Anything to do from the fact they're from Glasgow by any chance?

That would suck big time if they only got the gig because they knew Franz Ferdinand.

fuck me, give them some credit. I've been playing in bands for years and would love to play a gig like that. Never heard the band, never even heard of them, but fair play to them. They must be doing sumpin right. Even if it is knowing the right people.

Love from Christy
