And indeed he is! Minneapolis b-boy and funk merchant, co-owner of label “Against The Grain” with cohort Krafty Kuts, Fresh has done it all in a career spanning almost 25 years.
He’s released over a hundred 12” singles, including hits “La Lyrica” and “Badda Badda Schwing” (both taken from the excellent 2001 album “The Last True Family Man”, the latter being a collaboration with Fatboy Slim).
Freddy Fresh has also remixed/collaborated with artists such as Eminen, Boogie Down Productions, Grandmaster Flash, Schooly D, Jacknife Lee, Sugarhill Gang, The Freestylers, and many others.
His DJ bio has been described as “simply crazy”. As a tour DJ, he has supported the likes of Run DMC, the Jungle Brothers, Sugarhill Gang and Ugly Duckling, whilst also headlining Creamfields, Glastonbury and Reading festivals. Freddy Fresh’s blend of electro, hip-hop and breaks has also resulted in appearances alongside Africa Bambaata, Grandmaster Flash, Fun Lovin’ Criminals and Metallica. A guaranteed great night out.
