I do agree with you (in some cases) that graduates will be more mature than someone fresh out of school. This however is mainly due to the fact that the people in question will be at least four years older.
1st point: Where did i say it wasn't?

2nd point: No, i was discussing the current job market where skilled jobs are few and far between and a lot of graduates are competing against non-graduates for the same posts.

3rd point: In my opnion they would also have 4 years more life experience generally and going to University is a further life experience in itself.

My thoughts aswell, came out of college with an HND and the effects of two years being broke pushed me into working. Now a full six years later, I am looking at trying to go for the next set of qualifications through an ILA whilst still taking in a fairly comfortable wage, and at the end of this, can put down the certificate AND the work experience on the CV.

You'd hope so, because they'd be several years older!

As well as Morrisons go to Farmfoods/Iceland for mega cheap food, as well as less obvious stuff things like toilet roll and washing up liquid. Almost everything is a quid.
Don't bother buying a TV licence. If iPlayer/4od etc and dvd's aren't enough for you, you need to get out more (preferably to somewhere cheap/free).
Make lots of friends, who may know people who work in clubs, to try and wangle cheaper nights out.
Get free condomns from health clinics. EDIT: oh also, after you're done wash them out and use them again...
Sorted.

Edit: legally, that is.

This!

When I spent a year on jobseekers I could feed myself for a fiver a week in Farmfoods. It wasn't healthy but it filled me up.

You only need a licence if your PC has a TV card in it.

But they are looking at changing the law to cover services like iPlayer so it could change soon.
