Don't work so much that you have no time to hang out with your mates, it's better having less money and heaps of laughs than being the well off one that has no time, get a good balance. You'll need time for study too I suppose ![]() You'll mainly just learn as you go. It's all very well people writing down advice about what to avoid but chances are you'll get into a few sticky spots along the way. It's not a bad thing though as you learn from those mistakes for later in life when there is potentially more money at stake. Have fun. |

My general recommended strategy is to become a social outcast and therefore massively reduce the possibility of blowing all of your cash on booze/weed/girls. Of course you may end up on prozac and flunk anyway but at least you can say you balanced the books! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Don't be a student, enter the work market now, get at least four years ahead of your peers (as they rack up crippling debt for a degree that's as usefull as a provebial piss flavoured lolly-pop only then to decide to be a teacher - it's either that or working full time in the pub - because they are skint, 'over qualified' or have just realised they've paid a shit load of time and money for a BA in Mickey Fucking Mouse to do anything else worthwhile), and then sit back with a smile upon your employed, experianced, well paid or well-on-the-way-up-the-corporate-ladder face. Unfortunatly, some jobs / careers do require degrees as a minimum and therefore I recommend spending your student loans on drugs and selling them to your fellow students at a higher price (the fact that there is two of you is good as it'll share the risk, double the sales team and mean larger quantaties can be initially purchased). This will create profit. Repeat this process with perhaps some re-investment from time to time and this should help your financial situations quite a bit. It should be noted however, that there are some risks involved here. |

Everyone is rushing into the universities to escape this depression *cough* sorry downturn and there's gonna be a massive amount of graduates in about three years time and no fucking jobs for them. Crazy! My plan is to stay out and get what fucking work I can, save like £30K and then fund the whole fucking thing privately, maybe even piss off overseas. |
