I am about to become a student again (albeit part-time and with no classes).

There are some law books I need to get, but as usual they're mighty expensive.

Are there any decent second-hand book websites that students use for this kind of thing..?

AbeBooks Official Site - New & Secondhand Books, New &Used Textbooks, Rare & Out of Print Books

I have bought a few uni books off of them (2nd hand) and they have been brilliant. They also sell plenty of other books as well.

There used to be a second hand book shop on King Street. I went in once. They sold old scud mags.

Going back a while since I was a student, and even further back to first year when I was daft enough to actually buy books, but they used to do second hand books in Blackwell's on the High Street. In 1996.

Oxfam Book Shop on Back Wynd has a lot of things.

I remember going into that second hand bookshop opposite Morrisons once and it was full of porn. Basically a whole wall of it. There is a bookshop still there but I don't think it sells scud- ags any more. I've only looked in the window like, I haven't been in, so maybe you need to go in and enquire if he has any "books about jazz".

I guess jazz mags are collectors items now. They'll probably be on Antiques Roadshow soon. Teenagers today don't know they're born with the internet. In my day finding a dog-eared copy of Club International down at the railway line was like winning Euromillions.
