ive worked on a few of them at their garage

kia yes reliable and making a good name for them selves now, they tend to be reliable and no major worries, however ive seen many come in with ghost symptoms and what like that left us scratching our heads and going by guess work,

they are a nippy car and good bang for you buck, i personally think they are a hairdressers car, check out the Ceed'

also having a kia franchise garage is good for replacement parts also their 7 year warranty i believe

hope this helps

I ended buying a Ford Ka. Who wants to play dodgems?

Wooo!! Good choice I do have to say!

And you'll be surprised... there's plenty room in the boot! Haha.

What colour did you get? (such a girly comment. Lol)

But I decline the offer of dodgems. My Ka looks like it's hand 10 rounds with Mike Tyson... Probably something to do with the clientele of Pearl Lounge (my parking zone).

It's the 1.3 Ka Style, it's black with the metallic finish, ya know the one with the teeny little colourful metal flakes in the paint so when the sun hits it it looks like it's covered in glitter? That one. I have a glitter car. At the risk of sounding totally gay, it's fabulous. I paid an extra £350 for the silly glitter paint btw. Fool and his money and all that jazz.

Amazing!! I want a glittery car!! My purple is not quite so glamourous!!

Enjoy it! It's def nippy enough for city driving - that's all mine does except occasional trips back to Glasgow - it also copes well on the motorway - yours def will with it being new.

things to keep an eye on with ka's

lower wishbone bushes can split fairly often, depending whether its the old tappet engine or the new overhead cam one, the tappet one can get fairly noisey if you dont get the valve clearances adjusted,

other things, cylinder 4 misfires and number 4 ht leads are bad for going

also heater resisters are bad on ka's

also if its the old style engine it will have a cast sump which rot away after a while, the newer engine ones have an alloy sump so they dont rust as fast

need any homers give me a shout

Also look out for rusting. Especially on the door-sils when it gets a bit older.

My brother had a KA as his first car. Never had any real problems with it (except that, but its easily fixed), and he said it was a really good car.

Yup... agree bout the rusting... mine's does round the door and the petrol cap door. My car is 9 years old now... so can be expected I suppose.

And yes... my heaters have given in! My car is in it's final months! It's creaking like an old lady!

But yeah... It's been reliable for the 5 years I've had it and no major problems. Anything has been easily fixed!
