Default Hogmanay ideas
A group of us are looking to do something/go somewhere different this year for Hogmanay. Has anyone got any recommendations?? Personal experiences of good places?

Criteria:

- Don't want to go to Edinburgh
- Or Aberdeen
- Or Glasgow
- Prefer somewhere totally random either in the UK or Europe (cheap to get to preferably)
- Big fan of wee Scottish coastal villages

Had been considering Belfast, Fort William, Ullapool or perhaps Stonehaven for the fireballs?

Their first album is one of my favourites, although I don't really like much of their other stuff.

I would agree with Stonehaven, few people from my work have been there for New Year and said it was great.

Fireballs are good if you haven't been before. Growing up there I've seen them so many times I'm a bit non-plussed about the whole thing now.

the last couple of new years have been spent playing cds in the back room at moshulu, both years were much fun/long/drunken
