Edinburgh Bicycle co-op run 100 mile challenges reguarly:
Edinburgh Bicycle Century Challenge - Call 0845 257 0808 for Dates (£49.95)

Aside from that there's usually heaps of charity distance rides in the summer, distance varies. I did the Great Stonehaven Bike Ride last year and it was a laugh, possibly not as long as you're looking for though (it was 25 miles round the hills from Stoney up to Durris and back).

Why not just get a few mates and follow the national cycle route for a day? Make your own ride.

Stilt Walking John O'Groats | Lands End - MYmistake, it's not annuak, but a guy is doing it.

In other news, found a ride that is from Glasgow to Edinburgh. 47.5 miles which could be up my street. Especially as it leaves 5 mins from my term-time accomodation.

My mate did the London to Brighton on his big downhill bike.

Wouldn't fancy that.

I've entered this one:

Pedal for Scotland - Accept the Challenge

I'm sure the regret will kick in, in a couple of hours.

Despite being down south, the Dunwich Dynamo is pretty popular with folk getting into this sort of event - anyone can turn-up & take part.

There's a good list of events on Edinburgh Bike Co-op's site:

And if you're feeling really adventurous there's these:
