Default Did anyone else just hear a REALLY loud noise?
It came from outside and was what I imagine a sonic boom sounds like?

I was quite scared, but the world doesn't appear to have been bombed or whatnot...

Well, only half an hour ago while I was on my way to get lunch a figher jet flew overhead. So it may of actually been a sonic boom you heard. I'm out at the Bridge of Don though.

I heard a jet go across in the centre of town about half an hour ago so probably that

I could have sworn I saw a fighter jet today, but disregarded it as I thought it was a bit of an unusual sight.

Bloody loud though, regardless.

I'll wait for the nuclear explosions before I decide it's one of those apocolyptic days, but it's a possibility.
