does anyone remember this?

he was a one eyed talking cactus at the winter gardens in Duthie Park?

aye, he was ace, made some sort of noise i could never understand. is it gone? i've never been in there for years. I saw a lot of youger kids cryin whenever it popped its eye up, hilarious.

Yes Mytur Binisdurty he is still there if you look hard enough but he is not in working order unfortunately.

I was in a band with Spike the talking cactus (or rather, the guy who did his voice) - mind you , that's going back a fair bit - May 1988 I think.

Duthie park used to be ace cos it had fish tanks and speaking parrots and amphibians but now its not so great.

Thats cool! Also when I was little me and my Mum and brothers went on little horse and cart rides round the park in summertime. I hope they still do that in summertime.

very true, probably why i havent been there for years, except free at the dee last year which was.....well, it wasn't the best, but it was free, so thats as far as my complaining goes. But the Duthie Park has really let slip i think. I remember tha place used to be packed in summer with families when i was wee. I cant imagine it being the same.

I liked the big frog that popped up now and again. When I was very little I got a tin clockwork submarine for a birthday present. Not knowing any better I thought it would actually work, and launched it into the boat pond. I never saw it again
