Well Alan, the frog is still there. I like throwing my coins in sometimes. A FUN DAY OUT!

I miss the pedal boats.

Spike yelled at me cause I was pushing gravel from the cactus beds around with my foot... Then he started singing "Strangers in the Night" when I started boo-hooing. (I was only 4).

i don't think any small child could suffer spike. it was literally terrifying. my only memory is of unadulterated fear, and then bubbling like a geyser

I thought the giant frog was far far far worse.

But then again even the title of this thread filled me with fear.

I wasn't a big Duthie park fan, although the fish in the ponds are pretty cool

Come on then who is he? It would probably have been around 1988 that he called me a girl. I wasn't impressed (why did my parents make me have long hair )

Anyway, the terrapins were where it was at at Duthie Park. And the guy who played keyboard then admitted the whole thing came off a floppy and he was miming along!

Way back when they used to have a Zoo in the Duthie Park, if you were at the building that sold Ice Cream it would have been just to your right...

Oh and was it just me or did anyone else try to trow coin's IN the big frog's nostril?
