Default It's Pancake Day!

So who remembered?

What is the best thing to do with a pancake?

Why would anyone buy ready-made pancakes from a shop rather than make their own?

How much maple syrup is too much?

What exactly is a "shrove"?

I would recommend the Nigella recipe for pancakes and bacon layered and then maple syrup poured over them. Makes a godlike breakfast.

There is no such concept, chuck it on.

An ill-fated attempt by evil scientists to genetically cross a shrew and a dove.

It was messy.

So who remembered? Me

What is the best thing to do with a pancake? Eat it

Why would anyone buy ready-made pancakes from a shop rather than make their own? Because they lack a fire/frying pan

How much maple syrup is too much? Stop at half a bottle
What exactly is a "shrove"? The past tense of ''shrive''

I've eaten five pancakes and I feel sick.

1. Me, as Jamie Oliver and his fucking annoying pan advert kept telling me.

2. Eat it.

3. I have no idea. Lazy bastards.

4. Any. It's shite.

5. I would look in the dictionary, but I'm sure tv tanned is right.

EDIT: A Pel beat me to the "Eat it" answer. Bugger.

You're right, the translation is "Fat Tuesday", which comes from the tradition of using up the last of the winter's bacon on Monday and using the fat to cook pancakes on Tuesday.

Bacon, maple syrup, chopped walnuts, maybe a little creme fraiche...yum, can't wait for dinnertime.

fry something brown or green of your choice up with some butter, whip in some eggs, flour, pinch of salt and some milk for some extra-special pancakes. Woooo!! Pancake day!!
