my bit torrent and p2p stuff is really slow, is there not a patch or something? I got it before but i formatted my computer. I have a 2mb connection but it won't download at more than 5Kbps.

Yes download a patch which will allow 100 concurrent connections, instead of the default 10 enabled by Service Pack 2.

WARNING - YOU NEED TO HAVE SP2 INSTALLED BEFORE YOU DO THIS.

1] Download the patch here, by right clicking and saving it to the root directory of your boot drive (eg. C:\)
2] Goto START > RUN and type CMD then press RETURN
3] A command console will appear, so type expand -r c:\tcpip.sy_ and press RETURN
4] Type xcopy c:\tcpip.sys c:\windows\ and press RETURN
5] Type xcopy c:\tcpip.sys c:\windows\system32 and press RETURN
6] Reboot to enjoy 100 concurrent connections instead of the 10 defined by Service Pack 2
