Keep your travelers cheques in a bum bag.

But if you are going to the states, a word of warning: they call them fannypacks there, because fanny means your arse, not your minge.

no don't buy a bumbag as it identifies you as a traveller immediately

split up your money, buy a body wallet or something for your passports and any credit cards, keep some spare money in your bag or in your shoe or something to give you more chance if you're held up, so you have some money for a bus or somewhere to stay or something to eat

Where you planning to go? Europe? The States?

If you're going around Europe you should Interrail it! Totally wanted to do that last summer but it fell through.

Very jealous.

You say that you are heading into the unknown?
Weird.

If so, I'd take a book of Enochian calls, 3 wooden stakes, a silver bullet and a Sigillum Aemeth.

Say hello to Crowley if you find him.

I saw you in Aberdeen Airport on about the 8th of January - were you not going somewhere exotic then?

I recommend mainland Spain, being biased. Although only in small doses, should you go.

Im doing the same in summer, sludge. I found that just a wee bit of googling can bring up a whole load of stuff, from what equipment to take, to experiences of other travellers and their advice. Just google your heart out
